Vanderbilt University is located in Nashville, Tennessee. Air travel to Nashville International Airport (BNA) is serviced by many major airlines from over 50 markets. For travel by car, Nashville is located at the intersection of Interstates 24, 40, and 65.
The Blair School of Music is located a mile and a half southwest of downtown Nashville. Driving time is approximately 4 hours from Atlanta; 3 hours from Birmingham, Louisville, or Memphis; and 2½ hours from Knoxville.
Driving Directions
From Nashville International Airport, the east, or south
Allow approximately 30 minutes driving time from the airport. If traffic is light, it will take less time.
- Take I-40 west to exit 209A (US 70/US 70S/US 431/Broadway).
- Turn left onto Broadway.
- Follow Broadway and veer right to West End Ave.
From the north or west
- Take I-40 east to exit 209B (US 70/US 70S/US 431/Broadway/Demobreum St.).
- Turn right onto Broadway (US 70S).
- Follow Broadway and veer right to West End Ave.

Parking
We have arranged for free parking for the entire weekend in West Garage, located directly across the street from the Blair School. It is important that you access the garage only from the 25th Avenue entrance and park only in spaces WW 1–227 Friday before 5 p.m. Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday, any place in the garage is fine.

Lodging
The 2016 SEC Basketball tournament will take place in downtown Nashville during the weekend of March 11–13. Book early!
Hotel room blocks are currently being held at the following properties. Due to a city-wide engagement, pricing and availability will be difficult. When booking one of thesef properties, be sure to give them the code listed so that you will receive our discounted rate.
