The Charlotte International Airport (CLT) is 95 miles away. Shuttle van transportation is available from Hickory Hop. The Greensboro Regional Airport (GSO) airport is 109 miles away. By Car

You can enter Boone from the West or North, but be wary as these are mountain roads. We don’t see too much snow during this time of year, but it is possible.

The two main ways into Boone are via U.S. Route 321 north through Blowing Rock, or on U.S. Route 421 west through Wilkesboro.

Parking

Parking will be free as the University is on Spring Break. The closest lots are the Schaefer Center Lot, the Broyhill Lot, and the Peacock Lot across Rivers St.

Additional parking information and regulations can be found at University Parking and Transportation.

Lodging

Hotel blocks will be announced shortly. As Boone is a resort town, most rates are often a percentage lower than what the current website price is. Please feel free to book on a third-party site if the rate is lower. Additionally, there are many Vrbo and AirBnb properties and cabins nearby that might accentuate your visit to the mountains, particularly if you would like to group up with another college studio traveling to town!
