Tracy Golaszewski

Tracy Golaszewski, horn, moved to Raleigh, NC to play with the North Carolina Symphony. Before moving to Raleigh, she was fourth horn in the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, and played with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, as well as extra horn with the Chicago Symphony on tour and during their regular season and summer seasons. As an active freelance musician in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, moving to play with one orchestra in Raleigh was a welcome change.

In the last 10 years Tracy became increasingly interested in natural health solutions to treat her own health challenges and has read a lot of interesting books on various topics relating to natural health, in addition to using herself as a guinea pig to figure things out. She has tried herbs, homeopathy, acupuncture, and applied kinesiology to help her with issues. Having asthma since a child certainly made people think she wouldn't be able to play the horn. Over the years, growing tired of being on many medications for this and other problems stemming from the asthma, she used natural methods to become almost entirely prescription-drug-free. Today she'd like to share some of the methods that she used to help her health and make her a better horn player.
